Bishop's Castle
The shops in the town are a delight in their individuality and independent nature. No IKEA, M&S or Boots here - the majority of shops are locally owned and managed and this makes for a very special visit.

The town has 2 banks, a post office and 3 grocery stores. Add to that a wonderful deli, several interesting cafes and 6 pubs . . . not to mention the 2 breweries!.

Clun
A E Housman (1859-1936) in his poem "A Shropshire Lad", called Clun "the quietest place under the sun"

The town or village of Clun grew up around the site of the later Saxon church towards the end of the 7th century. At the time of the Norman conquest Clun formed part of the extensive lands of Edric The Wild around whom many strange legends have grown up.

Ludlow
Described by Betjemin as .."The most perfect town in England" - Betjeman

Ludlow and its castle are perched on a cliff above the picturesque River Teme in South Shropshire: the town breathes history at every turn. The town centre's ordered elegance is evidence of the 900 year old Norman planned town.

Ludlow is a lively and unspoilt market town with great spirit and an excellent reputation for food and drink. It also hosts great festivals and lots of events.
